The Koko Horsebox

Koko started on Pier Road in 2012 and for many years, the shop was one of the only places you could get Koko chocolate. Over the last four years or so we have been working hard to get our delicious chocolates to as many people as possible.

The horsebox is a new addition to Koko but not to the Keane/Jenkins family. Our grandfather, Brian Jenkins, left us his horsebox in 2020. Brain’s love for horses was legendary. He would drive to as many hunts as he could all over the UK with two big horses squeezing into the box.

In much the same way that we take great pride in our chocolate and coffee, Grandpop took great pride in his horses. They were always turned out looking immaculate.

1962 horsebox needed a bit of TLC on arrival. And that’s exactly what it got when it arrived in Ballinspittle. We’ve installed a state-of-the-art coffee machine and a side opening so we can see and serve all our gorgeous customers our signature hot chocolates and Greenbean coffee. And of course, we’ve painted it our classic Koko colours so you know it’s us from a mile away.

If you are hosting a party or event that you think could use some chocolate and coffee, then the horse box is for you. It is the perfect addition to the second day of weddings, family gatherings and even hunts. Email us at info@kokokinsale.com for more information.
